About the Role Fractal Street is seeking a meticulous and analytical Financial Data Research Associate to join our market data operations team in Chennai. In this role, you will manually collect, verify, and maintain accurate stock market data to support our trading, research, and analytics functions. Your work will directly contribute to the quality of insights driving our investment strategies. Key Responsibilities Collect and compile stock-related data from financial statements, regulatory filings (e.g., SEC), press releases, and reputable market sources. Manually input and update records in our proprietary database with precision and accuracy. Verify and cross-check data integrity to ensure reliability for trading and research teams. Label and categorize financial data according to internal standards. Track and document corporate actions, earnings releases, and other market-moving events. Collaborate with traders, analysts, and developers to meet data requirements. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field (preferred but not mandatory). Strong attention to detail and high accuracy in manual data work. Understanding of basic financial markets, stocks, and investment concepts. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets. Experience with financial databases (Bloomberg, Capital IQ, etc.) is a plus. Skills & Attributes Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage large volumes of data. Analytical mindset with problem-solving ability. Capable of working independently under tight deadlines. Commitment to maintaining the highest level of data accuracy.
