Job Description

Job Title: Business Development Manager (BDM – B2B Sales) Location: Pune (Field role – across the region) Salary: As per last drawn salary & interview performance # Role Overview The Business Development Manager (BDM) will be responsible for driving B2B sales by identifying and developing new business opportunities within the education sector. The role involves extensive fieldwork, client interactions, product demonstrations, and managing a sales team to achieve revenue targets across the assigned territory. # Key Responsibilities * Spend the majority of working hours in the field for business development activities * Daily reporting of work status to the reporting manager via email, SMS, WhatsApp, or in-person meetings as instructed * Identify new sales leads and pitch products and services to prospective clients * Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers * Approach educational institutions, organizations, and individuals to identify new leads and potential markets * Fix appointments and conduct client meetings for product discussions and demonstrations * Plan and execute new market initiatives and expansion strategies * Update customers on new product developments and offerings * Visit clients within the assigned region for product demos and requirement analysis * Conduct field surveys to understand customer needs and market trends * Support the inside sales team by following up on leads provided by telecallers and sharing feedback * Participate in review meetings and ensure alignment with internal teams * Manage, train, and guide Business Development Associates and Executives to ensure achievement of sales targets # Requirements & Skills * Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field * Minimum *5 years of experience* in B2B / channel sales, preferably in the *education or edtech industry* * Strong understanding of sales strategies and channel partner management * Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills * Ability to analyze sales data and market trends for informed decision-making * Target-driven mindset with a proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales goals * Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned region # Benefits * Competitive salary with performance-based incentives * Health insurance and additional employee benefits * Attractive perks and rewards * Opportunities for professional growth and career advancement
