Roll Summary:

Azure Solutions Architect

Key Responsibilities:

Design and architect secure, high-performance Azure cloud solutions for enterprise customers.
Lead cloud adoption initiatives including Azure migrations, infrastructure setup, and re-architecture.
Engage with clients to understand business and technical requirements and translate them into Azure architectures.
Architect and implement Azure networking solutions including VNets, Subnets, VPNs, ExpressRoute, and Azure Firewall.
Define and implement HA/DR strategies, backup solutions, and security best practices.
Guide cloud governance, cost optimization, and monitoring using Azure-native tools.
Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using ARM, Bicep, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines.
Oversee deployment and integration of Azure Data Services and Azure AD.
Collaborate with DevOps, Security, Data, and Application teams for end-to-end delivery.
Lead PoCs, technical workshops, and mentor junior team members.

Required Skills and Experience:

5+ years of experience in designing and implementing Microsoft Azure solutions.
Strong expertise in Azure IaaS, PaaS, and container services (AKS, ACI, App Services).
Deep understanding of Azure networking, identity, and security.
Hands-on experience with PowerShell, Azure CLI, ARM/Bicep, Terraform, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions.
Experience with Windows/Linux OS, hybrid cloud environments, and cloud firewalls.
Strong knowledge of Azure databases such as Azure SQL, PostgreSQL, and Cosmos DB.
Proven experience in application and infrastructure cloud migrations.
Experience with cost management, tagging strategies, and FinOps concepts.
Knowledge of compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001, SOC2, and applicable Indian regulations.
Exposure to multi-cloud environments (AWS/GCP) is an added advantage.
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes is preferred.
Strong communication and documentation skills for client-facing roles.
