You're the type of DevOps engineer who goes beyond maintaining systems—you ensure they never fail to begin with. If you find satisfaction in dissecting complex legacy infrastructure, architecting more efficient solutions, and eliminating repetitive tasks through automation, this opportunity is for you. We need a DevOps and AWS infrastructure specialist who excels in demanding environments where 99.9% uptime is the baseline. You'll operate across a diverse portfolio of acquired products, each with unique characteristics, transitioning them into a unified, scalable AWS environment while implementing monitoring and automation that makes incidents uncommon. Most organizations ask you to manage a single technology stack. We need you to merge and refine multiple stacks without causing disruption. Where others separate databases, we take a different approach, strategically consolidating them to maximize cost efficiency and management effectiveness across our portfolio. This role isn't for someone content with monitoring existing infrastructure; it's designed for someone who encounters a fragmented, inconsistent environment and immediately begins architecting improvements. You'll be responsible for everything from infrastructure migrations to AI-enabled automation, performance optimization, database transitions, and cost management. This includes identifying and resolving issues, designing and implementing cloud migrations with minimal downtime, and using AI/ML-powered workflows to automate significant portions of your work. You'll hold genuine decision-making authority over infrastructure choices—no prolonged waits for approvals from stakeholders unfamiliar with technical realities. If you're a self-directed problem-solver who enjoys untangling complicated systems and achieving flawless operation, this position will be highly rewarding. If you require constant guidance, become overwhelmed managing multiple technology stacks, or prefer greenfield projects over bringing order to complexity, this environment won't suit you. If you're prepared to assume ownership of a high-impact infrastructure position with opportunities to build, optimize, and automate at scale, submit your application today!
What You Will Be Doing
- Designing and executing complex infrastructure transitions, including migrations from legacy environments to AWS cloud platforms and lift-and-shift migrations
- Creating and deploying monitoring strategies and developing automations for monitoring, software releases, and operational processes
- Conducting system monitoring, system backups, incident management, database migrations, database configurations, and cost optimization
What You Won’t Be Doing
- Spending time in Jira and perpetual status meetings - we prioritize people who deliver solutions, not just document issues
- Preserving obsolete systems without change - you'll have the authority to implement substantial improvements
- Waiting through bureaucratic approval processes - you'll possess the authority to implement immediate fixes when incidents occur
- Operating within restrictive technical silos - this position demands both comprehensive knowledge and specialized expertise
- Advocating for budget to execute essential improvements - we recognize the value of infrastructure investment
