Overview

  • Seeking a highly skilled Senior AWS Architect with strong hands-on experience in large-scale cloud design and implementation.
  • Must be an AWS expert with deep knowledge of distributed systems, large-scale automation, and AI/ML services.
  • Role includes both architectural leadership and hands-on engineering.

Key Responsibilities

Cloud Architecture & Design

  • Design scalable, secure, and fault-tolerant architectures using AWS best practices and the Well-Architected Framework.
  • Lead end-to-end solution design for enterprise cloud applications, data platforms, and AI/ML workloads.
  • Architect multi-account AWS environments, landing zones, and guardrails.

Hands-On Engineering

  • Build and optimize AWS services (EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, CloudFront, DynamoDB, RDS/Aurora, Redshift, etc.).
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.
  • Develop automation for deployment, scaling, monitoring, and operations.

AI/ML & Advanced Services

  • Architect and deploy AI/ML solutions using SageMaker, Bedrock, Comprehend, Rekognition, etc.
  • Build scalable data pipelines (Kinesis, Glue, EMR, Step Functions).
  • Partner with data scientists to productionize ML models.

Security, Governance & Compliance

  • Implement cloud security best practices (IAM, network segmentation, encryption, secrets management).
  • Manage security tooling: AWS Security Hub, GuardDuty, Config, CloudTrail.
  • Ensure compliance with SOC2, GDPR, HIPAA, and enterprise security policies.

DevOps & Observability

  • Build CI/CD pipelines (CodePipeline, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins).
  • Set up monitoring and observability (CloudWatch, X-Ray, OpenTelemetry, Datadog, etc.).
  • Manage incident response, RCA, and performance tuning.

Collaboration & Leadership

  • Collaborate with engineering, product teams, and stakeholders on scalable cloud solutions.
  • Mentor engineers and conduct technical/design reviews.
  • Drive cloud innovation and establish best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in cloud architecture/engineering, with 5+ years hands-on in AWS.
  • Strong expertise in AWS core services, serverless, containers (EKS/ECS), and distributed systems.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS AI/ML stack (SageMaker, Bedrock, Comprehend, etc.).
  • Strong networking knowledge (VPC, Transit Gateway, VPN, Direct Connect).
  • Proficiency in IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK).
  • Programming/scripting in Python, Node.js, Go, etc.
  • Strong cloud security and compliance background.
  • Experience with large-scale and real-time data pipelines.
  • AWS professional certifications preferred.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with generative AI, LLMs, vector databases, and AI-driven applications.
  • Knowledge of hybrid/multi-cloud or Kubernetes outside AWS.
  • Understanding of FinOps and AWS cost optimization.
  • Experience in regulated industries (fintech, healthcare).
