Automation Purchase Engineer

• Vendor Management:
• Identify, evaluate, and develop suppliers for automation components like PLCs, sensors, motors, control panels, drives, HMIs, etc.
• Maintain strong relationships with approved vendors and negotiate price, terms, and delivery schedules.
• Procurement Process:
• Create purchase orders based on requirements from design, production, and maintenance teams.
• Ensure timely procurement and delivery of goods and services to avoid production delays.
• Compare quotations, analyze costs, and recommend the most economical and technically suitable vendors.
• Technical Coordination:
• Understand technical specifications and collaborate with the engineering team to ensure product compatibility.
• Participate in design and project discussions for component feasibility and sourcing alternatives.
• Documentation & Compliance:
• Maintain accurate purchase records, contracts, and agreements.
• Ensure all procurement activities comply with internal policies and industry standards.
• Cost Control & Inventory:
• Monitor market trends and raw material prices to forecast cost changes.
• Collaborate with inventory teams to manage stock levels and avoid excess or shortage.
