Our services extended to the Automobile Industry, Machine Tools, Earth Movers & Construction Vehicle, Aerospace, Defence and Space Research, Wind Energy & Hydropower, Pump, Oil & Gas, Steel, Metal, & Pipe, Medical Product, FMCG, Commercial Electronics, Railway, Agriculture, Textile Machinery, Marine, and Robotic Industry. etc. POSITION: Auto Gauging Engineer – Technical & Concept Specialist Job Summary: We are looking for a skilled and technically strong Auto Gauging Engineer with a deep conceptual understanding of automated measurement systems, GD&T, precision metrology, and mechanical inspection tools. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, validating, and supporting auto-gauging systems for high-precision components across automotive or manufacturing industries. Key Responsibilities: · Understand customer drawings, GD&T, and component tolerances to design and implement auto gauging solutions. · Develop conceptual layouts and technical plans for automated gauging stations (inline/online/offline). · Select and integrate appropriate sensors, probes, and measurement equipment (LVDTs, laser sensors, CMMs, etc.). · Collaborate with design and software teams to ensure proper mechanical integration of gauging systems. · Conduct feasibility studies and proof of concept for gauging applications. · Handle calibration, correlation, and validation of auto gauging systems. · Prepare technical documentation, BOMs, design calculations, and measurement reports. · Troubleshoot and provide technical support for installation and commissioning at client locations. · Work with cross-functional teams including Quality, Production, and R&D to ensure robust system delivery. Required Technical Skills: · Strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T). · Hands-on experience with precision measurement tools – LVDTs, Air Gauges, Digital Probes, Vision Systems, etc. · Knowledge of CMMs, SPC, MSA, and calibration standards. · Exposure to automated gauging concepts, control systems, and real-time measurement. · CAD software proficiency (SolidWorks / AutoCAD / Creo). · Familiarity with PLC/SCADA basics and integration (optional but a plus). Soft Skills: · Strong analytical and problem-solving ability. · Good communication and documentation skills. · Willingness to travel for customer support and system commissioning. · Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Preferred Experience: · Worked in an automation or quality instrumentation domain. · Exposure to auto part inspection, precision machining, or metrology system integration. · Experience in customer handling and application engineering.
