Audio Visual Engineer

Job Summary: The Audio Visual (AV) Engineer is responsible for the design, installation, maintenance, and support of audio, video, and control systems used in corporate, educational, or entertainment environments. This role involves working with both hardware and software to ensure AV systems function optimally, providing high-quality audiovisual experiences. Key Responsibilities: System Design & Engineering Design and engineer AV systems based on project requirements, including displays, audio, control, and networking components. Prepare and review technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and equipment lists. Installation & Configuration Install AV equipment (projectors, microphones, speakers, control systems, video walls, etc.) and integrate them with existing systems. Program control systems (e.g., Crestron, AMX, Extron) and configure DSPs (Digital Signal Processors). Maintenance & Troubleshooting Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting of AV systems. Resolve technical issues during live events or presentations promptly. Support & Documentation Provide technical support to end-users and stakeholders. Maintain system documentation, including schematics, operation manuals, and support logs. Collaboration Work closely with IT, facilities, project managers, and vendors. Provide input on AV best practices and emerging technologies.
