Procurement, we need 7 to 10yrs of experience from Logistics industry. This role is open for Mumbai & Chennai location, and we can offer max up to 13L. JOB DESCRIPTION AIR & OCEAN Objectives: The role involves managing airline and service provider relationships, negotiating competitive rates, and ensuring efficient air freight procurement. The ideal candidate should understand market trends, pricing strategies, and logistics to optimize costs and efficiency. Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills are essential for strategic procurement and business growth. Principal Responsibilities: Build and maintain strong relationships with airlines and service providers to secure competitive rates and service agreements. Negotiate pricing, contracts, and service levels to optimize cost efficiency while ensuring quality and reliability. Monitor market trends, freight rates, and capacity fluctuations to make informed procurement decisions. Collaborate with internal teams (operations, sales, and customer service) to align procurement strategies with business needs. Identify opportunities for cost savings while maintaining service excellence and timely delivery. Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal procurement policies. Regularly assess supplier performance and service levels to enhance operational efficiency. Track and analyse procurement performance, cost trends, and savings initiatives to support decision-making. Identify potential supply chain risks and develop mitigation strategies for uninterrupted freight operations. Continuously evaluate and enhance procurement processes to drive efficiency and competitiveness. Skills / Work Ex. / Qualifications: Bachelors degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. 7 to 10 years of experience in air freight procurement or logistics. Strong negotiation and contract management skills. Strong relationship management skills with expertise in freight pricing, market trends, procurement strategies, and international trade regulations. Knowledge of international freight regulations, Incoterms, and customs procedures. Proficiency in MS Excel, SAP, or other procurement/logistics software. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
