The Jindal School of Art and Architecture (JSAA) at the O.P. Jindal Global University, invites applications for faculty at the rank of Associate Professor (full time) – Architecture Graduate (CoA) with specialization in Academic Administration for its Bachelor of Architecture and Built Environment Studies programs. We seek applicants who have completed their undergraduate studies in architecture from a Council of Architecture recognized institution and have a strong background in teaching, research, and academic administration, along with professional experience in architecture/interior/building design practice. Given the inter-disciplinary nature of pedagogical practices at the JSAA candidates will be expected to teach students from across various design majors, and thus, develop coursework in a manner that highlights both the collaborative and inter-disciplinary nature of any design practice. Further, candidates will be expected actively pursue research, critical practices and undertake institutional development. Key Responsibilities Academic Leadership & Administration Oversee an academic program at the school ensuring academic excellence, curriculum development, and accreditation compliance. Lead strategic planning, program reviews, and faculty development initiatives. Manage faculty recruitment, mentoring, and evaluation in collaboration with the Dean. Engage in student affairs, advising, and academic counselling. Contribute to policy-making, governance, and long-term academic strategies. Foster industry collaborations, research partnerships, and community engagement. Teaching & Research Teach architectural design studio courses and contribute to core curriculum subjects. Supervise undergraduate research work. Engage in research, publications, and grant applications in architecture, design, and/or related fields. Organize workshops, lectures, and events to enhance student learning. Qualifications & Experience Mandatory Qualifications : First Class Bachelors Degree in Architecture recognized by the Council of Architecture and Master’s degree in Architecture/Design/Engineering or related fields. PhD or Master’s Degree in Architecture, Design, and/or related field. 5+ years of full-time teaching and research experience in a recognized design/architecture school with minimum 2+ years of academic administration experience. Proven track record in academic administration (as Program Coordinator, Assistant Dean, or Associate Dean). 5+ years of professional practice in architecture/interior/building design and/or related fields. Desired Qualifications Experience in curriculum development and pedagogical innovation. Ability to balance academic, research, and administrative responsibilities. Knowledge of accreditation processes and regulatory frameworks. PhD in Architecture, Design, and/or related field. 10 years of postgraduate experience of working on building projects related to schematic and technical drawing preparation, design coordination, site execution, and/or related tasks. Strong knowledge of building codes, zoning regulations, and industry standards Relevant college-level teaching and administrative experience, and the ability to mentor and advise students on their academic and professional paths. A flexible, integrative, collaborative, and inter-disciplinary approach to design education. Strong leadership, team management, and strategic planning abilities. Excellent communication, mentorship, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills.
