Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Manage the procurement and Development of all packaging materials such as corrugated boxes, stretch film, straps, pouches, labels, shrink film, pallets, bags, etc.
Identify, evaluate, and qualify new packaging vendors to ensure competitive pricing and robust supply.
Conduct price comparisons, negotiate rates, and finalize commercial terms with suppliers.
Create purchase orders (POs), track deliveries, and ensure material availability as per production plans.
Coordinate with quality, stores, and production teams to resolve any material quality or delivery issues.
Analyze monthly consumption and ensure optimal inventory without overstocking.
Monitor vendor performance (price, quality, delivery timelines) and maintain supplier scorecards.
Implement cost-saving initiatives and work on packaging standardization to reduce procurement cost.
Stay informed about market trends, raw material price fluctuations, and alternate packaging solutions.
Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, documentation, and audit requirements.
Coordinate with Accounts and Finance team for Payment cycle's or any accounting related issue.
Vendor development as per SOP and Vendor Visits.

Preferred candidate profile

MBA (Any Specialization) with 5 years of post qualification experience
