Client Onboarding & Portfolio Operations Analyst

Role Overview
The Client Onboarding & Portfolio Operations Analyst is responsible for the accurate and timely setup, maintenance, and closure of mandates, portfolios, derivative agreements, and accounts across key internal systems. This role plays a vital part in supporting client onboarding, fund lifecycle events, and ongoing operational integrity.You will work in a fast-paced operations environment, interacting across multiple teams, with a strong focus on attention to detail, data accuracy, and operational risk control.
Key Responsibilities
Mandate & Portfolio Management
- Set up, amend, and close mandates and portfolios in systems like Aladdin and Data Masters
- Maintain Aladdin Portfolio Groups and assign simple Portfolio Compliance rules
- Configure trade reporting and broker setups
- Update static data and handle fund manager changes and investment policy updates
Agreement & Account Management
- Set up and maintain derivative agreements in Aladdin (Deco)
- Onboard, maintain, and offboard third-party entities
- Set up and manage custody, FX broker, clearing broker, prime broker, transfer agent, and administrator accounts
- Handle Exchange Traded Derivative (ETD) account setups
Client Onboarding & KYC
- Upload and permission KYC and NAV documentation via the Counterparty Manager (CPM) system
- Respond to Level 1 KYC queries
- Monitor and update expiring tax documents and annual reports
Fund Implementation & Lifecycle Events
- Support fund and share class launches and closures
- Manage side pockets, redemptions, and shareholder communications
- Handle Legal Entity Identifier (LEI) creation and renewals
Must-Have Skills & Experience
- Experience in operations or onboarding within financial services, ideally in asset management or investment banking
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines
- Proficient in Excel, with ability to manipulate and analyze data
- Good understanding of operational risks and internal control frameworks
- Strong communication skills, particularly in written correspondence
- Experience with systems such as Aladdin, Data Masters, or CPM (or willingness to learn)
Good-to-Have Skills & Experience
- Knowledge of fund structures, portfolio compliance, and trade lifecycle
- Familiarity with legal entity onboarding, KYC, and AML requirements
- Experience handling derivative documentation and broker onboarding
- Exposure to fund launch processes and fund lifecycle management
- Prior involvement in process improvement or automation initiatives
- Understanding of regulatory standards affecting onboarding and client operations
