Job Description

As a Qualified CA with 7+ years of post-qualification experience, working at BDO India LLP in Bangalore, you will be responsible for leading teams and Assurance engagements end to end. Your role will involve handling areas and work allocated, preparing and reviewing Assurance work papers, and ensuring compliance with firm policies and regulatory requirements. Additionally, you will act as a Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for the team with the client, manage and supervise team members, and coordinate with internal and external teams, including client personnel, for information/data. Your key responsibilities will include: - Leading teams and Assurance engagements from start to finish. - Handling allocated work areas, testing, and relevant Assurance procedures. - Preparing and reviewing Assurance work papers to ensure compliance with firm policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. - Acting as a SPOC for the team with the client and managing/supervising team members. - Coordinating with internal and external teams, including client personnel, for information/data. - Supporting the team on standardization of processes, documentation, analysis of technical issues, and researching solutions. - Participating in meetings with various teams, contributing to areas and responsibilities handled. - Understanding business and industry issues/trends and ensuring timely delivery as per defined timelines. - Ensuring compliance with engagement plans, internal quality and risk management procedures, and demonstrating knowledge of applicable laws and regulations. - Owning and being accountable for delivering all aspects of the Assurance engagement, from start to finish. - Managing the internal and external quality review process for respective engagements and deliverables. - Collaborating with teams, including experts and specialists involved in supporting Assurance engagements. You will also be responsible for operational matters such as billing, collections, efficiency, optimal resource utilization, monitoring engagement budgets, and proactively taking full responsibility for engagement deliverables. Furthermore, you will support the Engagement Partner in managing communications, preparing and reviewing deliverables, and engaging with stakeholders, including boards and Assurance committees. Additionally, your role will involve coaching and managing team members, facilitating on-the-job training, participating in technical and non-technical training programs, contributing to firm and practice-related matters, and participating in business development initiatives.
