Associate Dean - Law

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and visionary academic leader to serve as Associate Dean School of Law. The incumbent will play a pivotal role in the academic and administrative leadership of the School, supporting the Dean in achieving excellence in legal education, research, and institutional development.

Key Responsibilities:

Academic Leadership:

Assist the Dean in curriculum planning, academic program development, and ensuring compliance with BCI and UGC guidelines.

Oversee the design, delivery, and quality assurance of undergraduate and postgraduate law programs (e.g., BA LLB, BBA LLB, LLM).

Promote interdisciplinary and experiential learning, including clinical legal education, moot court training, legal aid clinics, etc.

Guide faculty in adopting innovative teaching pedagogies and promoting research culture.

Administrative & Strategic Responsibilities:

Assist in the formulation and implementation of the Schools strategic vision, goals, and operational plans.

Monitor academic calendars, timetables, examinations, student performance, and faculty evaluations.

Act as a liaison with regulatory bodies (BCI, UGC, NAAC), and contribute to institutional accreditations and rankings.

Facilitate faculty recruitment, development, and mentorship.

Research & Outreach:

Promote quality research, publications, consultancy, and legal scholarship among faculty and students.

Build collaborations with legal professionals, judiciary, law firms, NGOs, and academic institutions.

Organize seminars, conferences, FDPs, legal awareness camps, and professional training programs.

Encourage student engagement in legal research, debates, internships, and court visits.

Qualifications & Experience:

- Ph.D. in Law from a recognized university.

- At least 16 years of teaching/research/administrative experience in a reputed law institution.

- Strong academic record with publications in peer-reviewed law journals.

- Familiarity with BCI norms and NAAC/NIRF/other accreditation processes.

- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Desirable Qualities:

- Proven ability to manage academic teams and lead institutional initiatives.

- Experience in digital learning platforms, legal technology, and interdisciplinary law education.

- Strong industry and professional network in the legal fraternity.
