Associate - Business Strategy

Role Overview :

As an Associate within our Business Strategy team, you will own end-to-end strategic initiatives that drive Skyroot’s growth and operational excellence. You’ll spend your time structuring problems, conducting research, and creating strategic recommendations. You’ll combine strategic thinking with execution ownership.

What You’ll Do:

• Market intelligence & competitive analysis:

  Lead strategic market analyses to identify emerging trends, competitive dynamics, customer segments, and regulatory developments in the space industry. Synthesize findings into clear insights that guide leadership decisions.

• Business problem-solving

  : Structure complex, open-ended business questions using hypothesis driven analysis and first principles reasoning.

• Cross-functional execution:

  Translate recommendations into Operational reality by partnering with engineering, finance, and operations to design roadmaps and ensure alignment.

• Executive communication:

  Craft concise presentations that influence C-suite decisions. Your deliverables will be executive-grade—clear, structured, and recommendation-driven.

What You Bring

You structure problems top- down, synthesize disparate information, and make recommendations with incomplete data. You rapidly absorb complex problem statements, teach yourself newmethods, and anticipate next steps without detailed instructions.

You operate as a strategic executor who doesn’t just recommend—you implement. You under stand the gap between strategy and reality, bridging it through systematic execution. You’ve demonstrated track record of leading projects end-to-end with measurable business impact.

Your background includes:

• 1-2 years experience, preferably in strategy consulting or high-growth startup operations.
• Bachelor’s degree from top-tier institution (Engineering, Commerce, Economics, or Business).

Skills and knowledge you must demonstrate :

• Strategic thinking:

  Structure complex problems, develop multi-scenario business cases, and build comprehensive recommendations with implementation roadmaps.

• Critical thinking:

  View problems from multiple angles, question assumptions, and stress test logic for robust decisions.

• Strong Communication Skills:

  Clearly comprehend the problem statements and synthesize information in an organized and persuasive way.

• Project & stakeholder management:

  Lead initiatives across multiple teams, manage com plex timelines, build consensus, and drive results without direct authority.

• Business judgment:

  Understanding of unit economics, competitive dynamics, operational constraints, and how strategic decisions create value in hardware/deep-tech contexts.

• Technical proficiency (Good to have):

  Advanced Excel/Sheets for analysis & modeling; SQL for data extraction; PowerBI/Tableau for dashboard creation; Python for automation.
