Assistant Vice President (AVP)

The Assistant Vice President (AVP) role at PhillipCapital India Pvt Ltd is a leadership position within their stock broking division, focusing on business development, client acquisition, and team buildup & management. The ideal candidate should possess a deep understanding of equity markets, broking operations, client acquisition, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Business Development: Drive client acquisition strategies to onboard High Net-worth Individuals (HNIs), retail clients, and achieve monthly targets. Develop and maintain relationships with existing and prospective clients to ensure high retention and satisfaction. Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities in the stock broking space.
• Team Management: Manage and mentor a team of dealers and relationship managers to achieve monthly targets. Set performance goals and track team Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to meet business objectives.
• Compliance and Regulatory Adherence: Ensure adherence to Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) and Exchange regulations and guidelines. Oversee client onboarding, Know Your Customer (KYC), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), and other compliance checks. Coordinate with audit teams to ensure regulatory readiness.

Qualifications and Experience

• Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a broking firm, with a proven track record in sales and portfolio management.
• Education: A bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. An MBA or certifications like Certified Financial Planner (CFP) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) is a plus.

Compensation

• Salary: ₹700,000 to ₹1,800,000 per year, depending on experience and performance.
• Additional Benefits: Performance and yearly bonuses.
