Job Description

As an Assistant Sales Manager in Western India, you will be responsible for the growth of Industrial & Architecture Screens (IAS) business in the region. Your main tasks will include developing and implementing a Sales Action Plan to achieve Order Input, Volume, and Margin forecast. Regular visits to various OEMs & Industries such as Starch, Sugar, Paper, Mining, Edible oil, Chemical, Food & Beverage, ETP/Water Contractors, etc will be required. You will study applications, select & size products, negotiate, and close orders. Additionally, getting approval of company brands with consultants and specifying products & technology in Industrial & Water tenders will be part of your responsibilities. Moreover, you will drive sales of new products and technology, coordinating with PLMs, NPD team & Engineering for the introduction & transfer of new products & technology. Timely submission of Sales Reports and Sales Forecasts will be crucial. Maintaining and improving customer relationships, ensuring effective working relationships within the IAS & other teams across the Company is essential for success in this role. In terms of technical and sales functions, you will be involved in the selection and sizing of core products for customer processes, analyzing and recommending improvements in screening processes, and advising internal sales on offer submissions and technical specifications. The product portfolio includes solid/liquid separation, screening, and filtering processes for various industries. To achieve annual objectives & targets, you will conduct regular sales calls and customer meetings for inquiry generation, technical product presentation, negotiation & order closing. Market research for pricing, applications, new product development, and competition analysis will also be part of your responsibilities. Good communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this role. Additionally, you will be responsible for ensuring effective and cooperative working relationships are established and maintained with colleagues and visitors by demonstrating a positive attitude, teamwork approach, and professionalism. Your qualifications should include an Engineering degree in Mechanical engineering and the ability to communicate effectively in English. Preferred qualifications include 10-12 years of sales experience in screening/filtration processes in various industries.
