Assistant Retail Store Manager

retail sales, inventory management, spa services, and home deliveries

• Greet and assist customers, understand pet needs, and recommend the right products/services.
• Drive store sales through cross-sell and up-sell (nutrition, grooming, hygiene, accessories).
• Handle billing, returns/exchanges, and customer queries smoothly.
• Ensure shelves, displays, and merchandising are always store-ready.

• Maintain stock availability: receiving, inwarding, tagging, shelving, and stockroom discipline.
• Track stock levels, fast/slow movers, and expiry-sensitive products (FEFO handling).
• Conduct cycle counts and assist in periodic stock audits.
• Reduce shrinkage, damages, and expiry through proper storage and checks.

• Support spa booking management: appointments, slot utilization, and customer follow-ups.
• Ensure hygiene, safety, and service quality standards are met.
• Coordinate with groomers/therapists on schedules, service packages, and add-ons.
• Handle basic service queries and convert walk-ins into spa bookings.

• Manage home delivery orders: picking, packing, dispatch coordination, and delivery TAT.
• Coordinate with warehouse/central team for replenishments and transfers when needed.
• Ensure accurate order fulfillment and minimize cancellations due to stockouts.
  

• Experience:

  1–4 years in retail operations/sales (pet retail, FMCG retail, pharmacy, QSR, or lifestyle retail preferred).

• Skills:

  customer handling, basic inventory control, operational discipline, and strong communication.

• Comfort with pets is mandatory

  (dogs/cats); prior pet retail/spa exposure is a plus.
• Basic computer skills (POS billing, Excel/Google Sheets, WhatsApp coordination).
