Job Summary
The Assistant Restaurant Manager (ARM) supports the daily operations of the outlet,ensuring excellent guest service, smooth functioning of FOH & BOH teams, operationalcompliance, and achievement of business targets. The ARM acts as the second-in-commandto the Restaurant Manager and is responsible for driving team performance, maintainingstandards, and enhancing the overall guest experience.Key Responsibilities
Operational Management
Support the Restaurant Manager in overseeing day-to-day outlet operations.Ensure smooth coordination between FOH, BOH, and Bar teams.Monitor table turnovers, service flow, and shift allocations.Maintain operational readiness—cleanliness, ambience, music, lighting, and overall setup.Guest Experience
Ensure every guest receives prompt, warm, and exceptional service.Address guest queries, special requests, and complaints professionally.Oversee service standards and ensure consistent guest satisfaction.Engage with guests on the floor to gather feedback and maintain rapport.People Management
Supervise staff performance and maintain discipline and grooming standards.Support hiring, training, onboarding, and skill development of the team.Prepare staff rosters and manage attendance.Motivate and guide the team during busy operations and peak hours.Financial & Inventory Control
Assist with revenue targets, upselling initiatives, and cost control measures.Verify billing accuracy and cash/credit settlements.Oversee daily inventory, stock usage, breakages, and wastage reporting.Ensure proper handling of service charge distribution and partner bonus implementationwhere applicable.Compliance & Safety
Ensure adherence to FSSAI, licensing, hygiene, and safety standards.Monitor alcohol service compliance and ID checks.Maintain records, checklists, and daily reports as per company SOPs.Administrative Responsibilities
Support in preparing daily sales reports, shift notes, and performance summaries.Manage vendor coordination (maintenance, pest control, repairs, etc.).Ensure timely communication of operational issues to the Restaurant Manager.Requirements
Education & ExperienceGraduate / Diploma in Hotel Management preferred.4 years of experience in restaurant operations; prior supervisory experience mandatory.Skills
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.Excellent communication and problem-solving ability.Sound understanding of FOH & BOH operations.Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.Proficiency with POS systems and basic operational reporting.Work Conditions
