Assistant Production Manager

Overview We are seeking an experienced and technically competent Assistant Production Manager to oversee and support the manufacturing operations of Oral Solid Dosage Forms (OSD), specifically Capsules and Dry Syrup formulations. The role involves supervising production activities, ensuring compliance with WHO-GMP standards, optimizing productivity, and maintaining consistent product quality. --- Key Responsibilities Supervise day-to-day production activities for Capsules and Dry Syrup sections. Ensure adherence to Batch Manufacturing Records (BMR/BPR), SOPs, and cGMP practices. Coordinate with QA, QC, Stores, and Maintenance to ensure smooth operations. Plan and monitor production schedules, manpower allocation, and material availability. Maintain accurate documentation, in-process checks, and production records. Ensure equipment calibration, cleaning validation, and line clearance before batches. Identify process deviations and support investigation and CAPA implementation. Support in regulatory audits, internal audits, and documentation readiness. Train and supervise operators, ensuring safety and hygiene in the production area. Support scale-up and technology transfer of new products in coordination with R&D. --- Required Skills & Competencies Strong technical knowledge of capsule filling, dry syrup formulation, and granulation processes. Understanding of WHO-GMP / Schedule M compliance requirements. Proficiency in documentation, SOP writing, and deviation handling. Excellent coordination and team management skills. Analytical mindset with attention to detail and process optimization. Basic computer knowledge (MS Office, ERP preferred). --- Qualifications & Experience B.Pharm / M.Pharm / B.Sc / M.Sc in Pharmaceutical Sciences or related field. 5–8 years of experience in OSD production (Capsules/Dry Syrup) in a WHO-GMP compliant facility. Experience in regulatory audits (WHO, State FDA, etc.) preferred.

Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
