Job Description

For an ISP Operation Assistant Manager, Key Responsibility Areas (KRAs) focus on ensuring the efficient and effective daily operations of the network infrastructure, meeting service level metrics, managing and developing the operations team, implementing quality and cost management, and resolving operational issues. Key KRAs include achieving operational efficiency, meeting performance goals, ensuring network availability and performance, fostering team development and engagement, and implementing process improvements to meet organizational objectives.

Here's a breakdown of typical KRAs for an ISP Operation Assistant Manager:

1. Operational Efficiency & Performance

  • Achieve Service Level Metrics:

Consistently meet or exceed established service level agreements (SLAs) for network uptime, customer experience, and operational performance targets.

  • Manage Daily Operations:

Oversee day-to-day activities, ensuring smooth execution of tasks, handling escalations, and managing the assigned shifts effectively.

  • Maintain Network Infrastructure:

Ensure the operation and maintenance of the ISP's network and its components to drive network efficiency and availability.

2. Team Management & Development

  • Team Performance & Motivation:

Foster a productive and achievement-oriented environment for the operations team through motivation, coaching, and timely feedback.

  • Staffing & Resource Management:

Assist in determining staffing requirements, developing schedules, and working with support departments to ensure effective execution of staffing strategies.

  • Employee Development:

Conduct training, cross-training, and up-training as requested, and contribute to career advancement and long-lasting team relationships within the company.

3. Process & Quality Improvement

  • Identify and Resolve Gaps:

Document and communicate system and business process gaps and work to implement effective solutions to improve operations.

  • Develop Operational Guidelines:

Develop and maintain operational guidelines, educate the team on best practices, and promote a culture of service excellence.

  • Implement Quality Standards:

Support the implementation of robust quality management systems and continuously monitor customer feedback to drive service quality improvements.

4. Cost & Risk Management

  • Oversee Operational Costs:

Monitor and control operational costs to ensure efficiency and profitability without compromising service quality.

  • Manage Risk and Audit Activities:

Assist in overseeing risk and audit activities related to the operations, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards.

5. Reporting & Continuous Improvement

  • Generate Operational Reports:

Prepare and submit detailed reports to management on shifts, performance, and key operational metrics.

  • Recommend Improvements:

Evaluate current operational strategies and provide recommendations for improvements to enhance overall effectiveness and efficiency.
