Description
Key Responsibilities : Technical Support : Provide product knowledge and formulation guidance for UTTO, Gear Oil, STOU, and Hydraulic Additives. Assist sales teams in handling technical queries from customers. Evaluate customer requirements and recommend suitable formulations using company additives. Support sales with product comparisons and performance differentiation data. Field Trials and Validation : Coordinate and monitor field trials of industrial lubricant formulations. Analyze trial data and generate technical reports. Prepare case studies and value proposition documents based on successful trials. Documentation & Testing : Prepare and review technical datasheets, MSDS, and formulation guidelines. Coordinate with labs for testing of samples (viscosity, TBN, wear tests, demulsibility, oxidation stability, etc.). Track and ensure timely delivery of test reports for sales enablement. Customer Training & Support : Conduct technical seminars, training sessions, and webinars for customers and channel partners. Provide on-site technical support during new product launches or problem-solving visits. Product Development Coordination : Work closely with R&D for customization of formulations based on market feedback. Provide inputs for new product development or enhancement based on customer needs and competitor analysis. Sales Enablement : Develop technical sales tools such as comparison charts, case studies, blending guides. Assist in preparing presentations and technical proposals for key customers. Qualification & Experience : B.E. / B.Tech in Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Chemistry or related discipline. 8–12 years of experience in Industrial Lubricant Additives technical support or formulation. Hands-on experience with UTTO, Gear Oil, STOU, and Hydraulic oil formulations preferred. Skills Required : Strong understanding of industrial lubricant formulation and additive chemistry. Knowledge of relevant ASTM/ISO test methods (e.g., D445, D2896, D1401, D892). Good analytical and problem-solving abilities. Strong communication and presentation skills. Ability to work cross-functionally with sales, R&D, and customers. Willingness to travel for field trials and customer visits.
