Role Overview:

Taxation- Assistant Manager

Key Responsibilities:

1. Direct Taxation: Manage Income Tax filings, audits, and TDS compliance. Ensure adherence to Sections 11, 12A, 80G, 10(23C) etc. for charitable organisations. Handle assessments, appeals, and tax notices. Advise on tax implications for grants, incubation fees, and donor receipts.
2. Indirect Taxation (GST): Oversee GST registration, filings, and reconciliations. Assess GST applicability on incubation and training activities. Manage Input Tax Credit and ensure documentation accuracy.
3. FCRA & CSR Compliance: Manage FCRA registration, renewals, and annual filings. Ensure compliant utilisation of CSR and foreign grants. Liaise with donors and funding partners for audit and reporting needs.
4. Audit & Advisory: Coordinate with statutory and internal auditors. Support financial finalisation and compliance reviews. Provide tax planning and advisory support for new initiatives and partnerships.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Only Semi-Qualified Chartered Accountants (CA) or Qualified Chartered Accountants (CA) are eligible. Hands-on experience in GFR (General Financial Rules) and GAR (Government Accounting Rules). Proficiency in tax filing software is mandatory.
• 7–10 years of experience, including 3+ years in NPO / incubation / CSR setup.
• Good knowledge of Income Tax, GST, FCRA, and CSR compliance.
• Proficient in Tally, ERP, and Excel.
• Skills & Attributes: Strong analytical and problem-solving ability. Updated knowledge of NPO tax laws. Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination. Integrity, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines
