Currently House of Shipping is looking to identify a high caliber Assistant Manager- Taxation from Shipping Industry. Job purpose To assist India Tax Manager in compliances with local Indian tax laws (TDS, corporate tax, transfer pricing and GST) group companies in India. This position is an on-site position in Chennai. Education requirements : Fully Qualified Chartered Accountant; tax experienced commerce graduates; well versed with the use of MS office Background and experience 3-4 years of experience in Indian tax laws Must be from a Consulting background In-depth knowledge of Indian TDS and corporate tax laws Experience in GST laws Experience in representing before the Indian Tax Authorities Main tasks and responsibilities Assist in review and preparation of monthly and annual GST returns Assist in review and preparation of annual corporate tax return Assist in Indian Transfer Pricing compliances Assist in responding to the notices issued by tax authorities Representing before the tax authorities as and when required Competencies and skills Time management and organizational skills Analytical, numerical and problem-solving skills when under pressure and tight work deadlines Good team player Effective verbal and written communication skills Show more Show less
