Assistant Manager- Taxation

The Assistant Manager- Taxation from Shipping Industry at House of Shipping will be responsible for assisting the India Tax Manager in ensuring compliance with local Indian tax laws including TDS, corporate tax, transfer pricing, and GST for group companies in India. This position is based in Chennai. The ideal candidate should be a Fully Qualified Chartered Accountant or tax-experienced commerce graduate with proficiency in MS Office. They should have 3-4 years of experience in Indian tax laws, preferably from a Consulting background. In-depth knowledge of Indian TDS, corporate tax laws, GST laws, and experience in representing before the Indian Tax Authorities are essential. Key responsibilities include assisting in the review and preparation of monthly and annual GST returns, annual corporate tax return, Indian Transfer Pricing compliances, responding to notices issued by tax authorities, and representing before tax authorities when required. The successful candidate should possess strong time management, organizational, analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills, especially under pressure and tight deadlines. Being a good team player with effective verbal and written communication skills is crucial for this role.,
