Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Create, update, and publish content across Sitecore (10.x) websites, ensuring consistency with brand guidelines and editorial standards.
  • Hands-on authoring using Sitecore Experience Editor, Content Editor, SXA (Sitecore Experience Accelerator), and standard components/templates.
  • Collaborate with designers, developers, and SEO specialists to structure pages, modules, and media assets for optimal UX, accessibility, and performance.
  • Configure and manage Sitecore workflows, approvals, and versioning; enforce governance and content lifecycle best practices.
  • Use Sitecore PowerShell Extensions (SPE) to automate repetitive authoring tasks (bulk item creation/updates, media import, metadata tagging, publishing queues) and to generate scripts for content audits and cleanup.
  • Manage content taxonomy (folders, tags, categories), data templates, and component-level data sources; ensure clean information architecture.
  • Perform content publishing (incremental/smart/full) and schedule publish windows; monitor publish queues and resolve blockers.
  • Maintain Media Library hygiene: bulk uploads, image/video metadata, renditions
  • Apply SEO best practices: headings, structured content, internal linking, canonical tags, metadata, friendly URLs, and sitemap management.
  • Basic Solr operations awareness: understand indexing scopes, item re-index triggers, troubleshooting missing content in search, coordinate re-index requests with engineering.
  • Create and maintain content authoring guides, checklists, and SOPs; provide enablement/training to new authors and stakeholders.
  • Ensure content integrity across environments (Dev/QA/UAT/Prod) and support UAT by validating pages, forms, and links.
  • Coordinate with DevOps/engineering for deployments, package installations, and resolving authoring issues post-release.
  • Execute content migration plans (manual/SPE-assisted); validate mapping, fix broken links, and normalize formatting.
  • Monitor site quality using link checkers and accessibility tools, log and track defects with clear reproduction steps.
  • Participate in sprint ceremonies (refinement, review) to plan authoring tasks aligned to releases and campaigns.
  • Maintain compliance with legal and brand requirements (privacy, disclaimers, copyright) and ensure localization readiness for multilingual sites.

Qualifications

  • BCA/MCA/MBA/BE/BTech/BIT preferably with demonstrated content management experience.
  • 4-6 years
