Job Description – Assistant Manager (Purchase)

Location: New Swan Technologies Limited, Kohara
Experience Required: 4–5 Years
Budget: Up to ₹45,000 CTC
Preferred Industry: Sheet Metal / Automotive Components / Oil Seals

Role Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled Assistant Manager – Purchase who can independently handle procurement operations, vendor development, cost negotiation, and strategic sourcing. The ideal candidate must have strong communication skills and prior experience in sheet metal, oil seal, or automotive component manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the procurement cycle for raw materials, consumables, tools, and outsourced parts.
• Develop and maintain a strong vendor base—vendor evaluation, vendor rating, and performance tracking.
• Conduct cost analysis, price negotiation, and rate finalization to achieve cost-saving targets.
• Ensure timely issuance of Purchase Orders and follow-up for on-time material delivery.
• Coordinate with Production, Quality, Planning, and Stores departments to ensure material availability.
• Resolve supplier quality or delivery issues with corrective and preventive actions.
• Monitor inventory levels, lead times, and procurement schedules to avoid stockouts.
• Maintain and update procurement reports, price comparisons, and vendor data.
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and support audits.
• Support strategic initiatives such as alternate vendor development, cost optimization, and process improvements.

Skills & Competencies

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Strong knowledge of vendor rating systems and cost analysis
• Experience in sheet metal / automotive / oil seal procurement
• Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP/Oracle/Tally or similar)
• Strong decision making, market understanding & planning skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
