Job Description

Role Purpose

The Assistant Manager – Purchases will support Procurement Planning and Project activities to ensure timely availability of materials and services required for manufacturing and project execution. The role emphasizes vendor coordination, purchase execution, cost control, documentation, and adherence to Procurement Planning & Project guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

1. Purchase Execution & Planning Support

● Execute purchase activities as per approved Procurement Planning and Project schedules.

● Ensure timely availability of raw materials, components, consumables, and services.

● Prepare, issue, and track Purchase Orders (POs) as per approved plans and policies.

2. Vendor Coordination

● Identify and onboard vendors aligned with Procurement Planning & Project requirements.

● Maintain effective coordination with vendors for pricing, delivery timelines, and issue

resolution.

3. Cost Planning & Negotiation

● Support commercial negotiations to achieve planned cost targets.

● Prepare comparative statements for rate finalization.

● Assist in cost optimization initiatives under Procurement Planning & Project objectives.

● Monitor vendor performance for quality, delivery, and compliance.

4. Inventory & Project Coordination

● Monitor material availability as per project and production planning.

● Coordinate with internal teams to align purchase schedules with project requirements.

5. Documentation & Compliance

● Maintain complete documentation of POs, invoices, contracts, and GRNs.

● Ensure adherence to Procurement Planning & Project policies and audit requirements.

● Support internal and external audits with accurate records.

6. Cross-Functional Coordination

● Coordinate with Quality and Project teams for material-related concerns.

● Support internal stakeholders for project-based purchase requirements.

7. Reporting & MIS

● Prepare MIS reports related to purchase status, vendor performance, and cost tracking.

● Track purchase cycle timelines against Procurement Planning benchmarks.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹55,000.00 per month
