Job Description

Role Overview: As a Procurement Assistant, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing procurement strategies that are in line with the company's goals. Your primary responsibility will be to source reliable vendors, evaluate bids, negotiate contracts, and maintain strong relationships with suppliers. You will ensure timely and accurate procurement of materials and services to meet project or operational requirements. Additionally, you will collaborate with internal departments to understand material needs and prepare purchase orders while adhering to company policies. Key Responsibilities: - Assist in developing and implementing procurement strategies aligned with company goals. - Source reliable vendors and suppliers, evaluate bids, and negotiate contracts and pricing. - Monitor vendor performance and maintain strong supplier relationships. - Ensure timely and accurate procurement of materials and services as per project or operational requirements. - Collaborate with internal departments to understand material requirements and timelines. - Prepare and process purchase orders and documents in accordance with company policies and procedures. - Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness. - Identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and supply risk reduction. - Maintain procurement records, including supplier information, contracts, and pricing history. - Ensure compliance with legal and company policies throughout the procurement process. - Assist in managing inventory levels and coordinating with warehouse and logistics teams. - Support internal and external audits related to procurement activities. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field. - Proven experience working in procurement or a similar role. - Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills. - Knowledge of procurement best practices and supply chain management. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and procurement software. - Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks efficiently.,
