Job Description

As an Assistant Manager-Procurement at Fairdeal.market, you will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing a specific product category to drive sales, profitability, and market share. Your responsibilities will include: - **Product Sourcing and Supplier Management:** - Source stock directly from brands and trade partners as per demand planning. - Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers to ensure a diverse and cost-effective supply chain. - Maintain relationships with existing suppliers for timely procurement of quality ingredients. - Negotiate pricing, lead times, and contract terms for cost efficiency. - Maintain a Fill-Rate Target of 100% for Top KKVI and > 90% for non-KVI products. - **Inventory Management:** - Monitor and track inventory levels to ensure uninterrupted supply. - Collaborate with operations team for forecasting and avoiding stockouts. - Maintain optimal inventory turnover ratios by managing shelf life effectively. - **Cost Control and Budget Management:** - Develop and manage procurement budgets for cost-effective sourcing. - Monitor market trends for cost-saving opportunities. - Analyze historical data to optimize purchase decisions. - **New Product Launch Support:** - Source specific brands and product lines as per customer demand. - Oversee the entire product lifecycle from introduction to phase-out. - Assist in testing and selecting alternative ingredients as needed. - **Documentation and Record Keeping:** - Maintain accurate records of all procurement transactions. - Track ingredient specifications, certifications, and batch release data for compliance. - **Collaboration and Communication:** - Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on category strategies. - Develop competitive pricing strategies for revenue maximization. - Collaborate with vendors on product launches and marketing initiatives. - Implement promotional campaigns to drive sales and enhance brand visibility. - **Customer Focus:** - Analyze customer feedback to improve product assortment and shopping experience. - Collaborate with customer service team to address inquiries and issues. **Qualifications and Experience:** - Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Retail Management, or related field. - 3-5 years experience in category management, brand/indirect buying, or related role in retail/e-commerce. - Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and retail analytics tools.
