Job Description

As an Assistant Manager in the Project Management Office (PMO), your role is crucial in supporting the PMO Manager and team to ensure efficient and effective project delivery. You will have the opportunity to lead and manage transformation projects aligned with strategic objectives, drive innovation, foster continuous improvement, manage budgets, and cultivate strong relationships with stakeholders. Your responsibilities will also include overseeing the entire project lifecycle, mitigating risks, mentoring team members, facilitating Agile practices, and championing the adoption of Agile methodologies across the organization. Key Responsibilities: - Lead end-to-end delivery of transformation projects aligning with strategic objectives - Plan and implement projects ensuring alignment with organizational goals - Collaborate with cross-functional teams for timely and budget-friendly project delivery - Manage project lifecycle from ideation to closure ensuring high-quality deliverables - Drive innovation in product development and technology solutions - Foster a culture of continuous improvement and optimize processes - Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and reports for transformation initiatives - Ensure adherence to project frameworks and maintain documentation - Identify, assess, and mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle - Cultivate strong relationships with stakeholders and communicate project goals effectively - Mentor and develop team members to strengthen capabilities - Anticipate and mitigate project risks to keep projects on track - Facilitate the Scrum process and ensure adherence to Agile principles - Act as a servant leader and coach for the Scrum Team - Remove impediments to enable the team's progress towards sprint goals - Work closely with Product Owners to ensure a well-groomed product backlog - Monitor and report on project progress and team performance - Champion Agile and Scrum practices across the organization - Stay updated on new trends and tools in Agile practices and Scrum methodologies Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree, Master's degree, or MBA preferred - Minimum 8 years of experience in a transformation delivery role within commercial sectors - Experience in managing large-scale projects and leading cross-functional teams - Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills - Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation abilities - Certification in Project Management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is advantageous Additional Company Details: - Experience in change management and driving adoption of new technologies and processes Your role as an Assistant Manager in the PMO will be dynamic and challenging, offering opportunities to lead transformative projects, drive innovation, and cultivate a culture of continuous improvement.
