Reporting Manager - GL Accounting Manager / Head
Function – Finance
Purpose Statement - Purpose is to lead the financial control and reporting function. Financial Reporting and Consolidation Assistant Manager will be responsible to work closely with the functional Manager to ensure the accuracy of financial data, compliance with accounting standards, and providing financial insights to support decision-making and drive business growth
Key Role & Responsibilities
- Support the financial reporting and consolidation processes, performing the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements in compliance with accounting standards
- Assist in managing the general ledger accounting activities, including month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing processes, reconciliations, and journal entries
- Collaborate with Finance Shared Service Centers (SSC) and other departments to facilitate the consolidation of financial data
- Coordinate with Plant accounting manager for finalization of plant level trial balance and resolving queries if any
- Support in preparation of financial reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting key performance metrics, financial risks, and opportunities
- Support external audit processes, liaisoning with auditors and providing necessary documentation and information
- Coordinate with Tax team for providing input related to GST annual return and notes to accounts
- -Contribute to process improvement initiatives and digitization efforts to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of financial reporting and consolidation operations
Job specifications
Experience
- 4 to 8 years of experience in financial reporting, consolidation, or general ledger accounting roles, preferably in a multinational corporation
- Demonstrated experience in supporting financial reporting processes and coordinating with multiple stakeholders
Qualification
- Bachelor's in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. Advanced degrees (e.g., MBA) would be advantageous
Certifications
- Professional certifications in the field of accounts, finance, SAP operations and Record to Report are preferable

Technical
- Thorough understanding of financial control and compliance practices
- Familiarity with accounting software such as SAP, Oracle, or Hyperion for financial reporting and consolidation
- Proficiency in financial accounting and reporting standards (e.g., Ind AS)
