Assistant Manager

You will be responsible for maintaining and improving the OTDIF of parts with a reduction in OLR, procurement lead time, and material cost to achieve top line and bottom line targets. Your primary responsibilities will include: - Procurement of manufacturing components for the Blister machine - Tracking entire procurement activities from MRP run to GIN - Developing a responsive and capable supplier base by building strong alignment with suppliers - Negotiating and reducing costs through value engineering methods - Creating purchase orders and following up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials - Problem-solving quality issues - Coordinating with the Assembly Department to resolve day-to-day issues - Collaborating with PPC and Design for better product procurement Your functional core will involve: - Awareness of manufacturing processes for machining, heat treatment, and fabrication, with hands-on experience in machining and fabrication - Knowledge of engineering terminologies and processes - Strong negotiation and analytical skills - Understanding financial aspects to discuss business with suppliers at a macro level - Awareness of taxation implications when buying from within and outside India - Techno-commercial knowledge of purchasing items - Ability to network and have good interpersonal skills within the group company and with external suppliers - Grasping the business model and translating it into supply base requirements - Operating knowledge of SAP related to purchasing - Familiarity with MS Office and other related software - Purchase planning, total cost of ownership, inventory management, and vendor management Key result areas will include: - On-time delivery of materials - Quality improvement and OLR reduction through CAPA implementation - Cost savings - Lead time reduction - Inventory management in terms of days in hand - Support to VD team for alternate vendor development Your education and experience requirements are DME with 5 to 6 years of experience or B.E. Mechanical with 3 to 4 years of experience.,
