Assistant Category Manager

The role would be to drive the efficiency and effectiveness of new designs & developments. The category manager will need to have strong sense of the current & future design narratives which can be well executed in production too. The footwear designs need to be relevant to Indian market and Skechers target consumers. The role is getting the samples developed along with development team, giving insights on materials / design inputs as per market requirement.

The candidate must be an active sports enthusiast. Would be helpful if the candidate is actively participating & playing sports activities like soccer / cricket / basketball / tennis / pickleball etc…

Responsibilities

• Supporting the Buying & Merchandising within Footwear:
• Drive and further build the category PAN India
• Understand the dynamics of each business – Retail, MBO, Distribution & Ecom to strengthen the business
• Season range planning and assortment building
• Sell through & Mark down management
• Agreed GM% deliverables for the category
• Support in EOSS planning and old inventory health management
• Analysing / monitoring style performances at category / store level
• Conducting season product conference for partners
• Ownership of Tracking season deliveries for the respective category
• Creating season buy forms & catalogues
• Supporting Marketing calendar and key marketing initiatives for season
• Drafting Merchandise display plan during season for new season products
• Conducting Product training and building product knowledge within store staff

Qualifications

• Graduate or Post Graduate from FDDI
• 4+ years' of Category management experience specifically into Sports Footwear Category.
