Job Description

As an Assistant Category Manager, you will be entrusted with overseeing the jewelry category's Profit and Loss (P&L) in line with business objectives. Your primary responsibilities will involve formulating and implementing a strategic blueprint for the category, enhancing sales and profitability, supervising inventory management, and collaborating closely with various teams to ensure top-tier customer experiences. Your key duties will include: Developing and executing a strategic plan for the assigned category that aligns with business goals and brand identity. Taking ownership of the Profit and Loss (P&L) for the designated category, steering sales and profitability targets. Planning, forecasting, and optimizing inventory levels to ensure adequate stock availability across all sales channels. Collaborating with cross-functional teams like design, merchandising, retail operations, procurement, and marketing to guarantee synchronization and prompt delivery of products, promotions, and other projects. Leveraging market insights, competitor analysis, and sales data to drive product positioning, development, and pricing strategies. Creating long-term growth strategies for the retail and online facets of the category, enhancing sales and profitability for each channel. Managing the onboarding and relationships with vendors to secure quality products, punctual deliveries, and competitive pricing. Negotiating terms, pricing, and supply agreements with vendors to maximize profitability and cost-effectiveness. Analyzing customer feedback, deriving insights, and implementing enhancements to the category's offerings and overall customer experience. Compiling regular reports on category performance, encompassing sales, profitability, and inventory levels. Ideal candidates will possess: A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (Master's degree preferred). Over 5 years of experience in category management, buying, and merchandising, with a preference for the jewelry industry. A proven track record of boosting sales and profitability within a category. Proficiency in negotiation skills and vendor management expertise. Strong data analysis capabilities, sales forecasting acumen, and inventory planning skills. Excellent collaboration abilities to thrive in a cross-functional team setting. Solid organizational aptitude to handle multiple projects and priorities simultaneously. Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.,
