About the Role

Assistant Vice President – Specialty Insurance

As a functional lead, you will manage a span of ~270 professionals across RI UWS, Insurance UWS, Delegated Authority, Claims, R2R, I2C, P2P, FP&A, Tax, and Statutory Reporting for both Assumed and Ceded operations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership across all sub-service lines within Insurance & Reinsurance UWS and F&A domains, with specific expertise in London Market operations.
  • Drive transformation initiatives, ensuring “Zero Surprise” operations and delivering measurable value to clients.
  • Lead tech-enabled and data-driven operations aligned with outcome-based commercial models.
  • Ensure compliance with client requirements and manage client relationships up to the CXO level.
  • Guide and develop cross-functional teams, ensuring high employee engagement and career progression.
  • Collaborate globally across functions such as HR, Digital, Transformation, Transitions, and Service Line teams.
  • Foster continuous improvement using Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Oversee end-to-end service delivery with full ownership of client satisfaction and P&L performance.
  • Support pre-sales and new deal cycles including solutioning, pricing, due diligence, and stabilization.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Proven leadership experience managing outsourced operations across UWS and F&A functions.
  • Strong background in Insurance/Reinsurance processes including Regulatory Reporting, Investment Accounting, Credit Control, Accounts Payable (AP), and Accounts Receivable (AR).
  • Ability to manage multiple client accounts and large global teams, including offshore locations (e.g., Kuala Lumpur).
  • Demonstrated success in transformation programs, client engagement, and delivering operational excellence.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) or Graduate/Postgraduate from top-tier commerce institutions.
  • Extensive experience in managing F&A operations with a strong understanding across R2R, P2P, I2C, and FP&A.
  • Prior experience in handling large-scale delivery teams and managing global client portfolios.
  • Exposure to the London Market and specialty insurance will be a distinct advantage.
