Company Description: Boathouse Music And Entertainment Private Limited is a boutique bootstrapped early-stage music business company. We are primarily focused on selectively availing our expertise of artist management, record label and live music operations, activities and services. Role Description: We are seeking two capable, motivated and enthusiastic artist management interns to join our team. The roles offer unique opportunities to learn on the job, implement delegated parts of our work across a few verticals and gain hands-on experience in the field of music business. Day-to-day responsibilities include: 1. Handling communication, including one-on-one emailing. 2. Booking & managing venues, performers, TLB to more. 3. Handling marketing, sales and promotions. 4. Market research-analysis and data mapping-mining. 5. Handling a cross-functional team, associates and networks. As interns, you'll support various initiatives of our indie and commercial verticals, that involves assisting in the day-to-day management, coordination, planning and execution of music business projects. Tasks will include handling administrative duties, maintaining communication between the artists, associates and other stakeholders, and supporting the team in various activities. Who can apply: 1. are available for full time (in-office) internship 2. can start the internship between 16th June '25 and 28th July '25 3. are available for a duration of 12 months 4. are from Mumbai only 5. have relevant skills and interests Stipend (performance-based): Artist Management Intern (indie vertical) - Up to INR 90,000 as commission (or 10% of vertical profits, whichever is lower) every 6 months, an internship certificate and LOR. Artist Management Intern (commercial vertical) - Up to INR 1,80,000 as commission (or 10% of vertical profits, whichever is lower) in 12 months, an internship certificate and LOR. Additional perks: Getting onboarded, trained and real-world applications across multiple music business verticals A public-facing role; access to networks, tags and mentions Targeted project-success can lead to full-time roles before 12 months Required qualities: 1. Excellent verbal and written communication 2. Tech-savvy, have their own devices & connectivity 3. Interest in the music industry 4. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, logic-oriented and pattern observer (/breaker/builder) 5. Capable of working independently and in hybrid setup; work and performance based flexibility Other requirements: 1. Effective communication, interpersonal, people, leadership, collaborative teamwork, organizational, administrative and public-speaking skills 2. Demonstrated flexibility, adaptability, proactive attitude, willingness to learn and travel 3. Excellent work ethics, professionalism, hunger, hustle, enthusiasm, self-belief and self-starter with the ability to follow instructions to the letter as well as the occasional freedom to show ingenuity Proficiency in/pluses: Loving indie original music from India as the primary art/product form Marketplaces like music DSPs (Spotify, YouTube Music, Apple Music, etc) to more Basic business & industry economics in the B2B, B2C and D2C spaces Phone photo-videography and copywriting skills Basic design/editing skills on Canva or Blender/Photoshop, etc. MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint and Word) Software applications, socials (Instagram, YouTube, Facebook) and their business tools like CRM, ad, SEO, keyword tools & more Qualification: Relevant 3+ years of work experience in any industry (in innovation-centric bootstrapped startups, is a plus) And/or pursuing or completed a degree in Music Mgmt., Business, Economics, Arts and related fields And/or an energetic artist/musician/sound/arts professional or music lover keen to understand the industry Show more Show less
