Job Description

Position Overview:

The Area Sales Manager is responsible for increasing student enrollment by promoting the university’s academic programs within a designated territory. This role involves engaging with prospective students, parents, schools, and education consultants, while managing recruitment activities, partnerships, and sales targets

Key Responsibilities: Sales & Student Recruitment:

  • Achieve enrollment targets for undergraduate/postgraduate programs in assigned territory.
  • Plan and execute recruitment strategies to generate leads and convert applications into enrollments.
  • Promote the university through school/college visits, fairs, seminars, and webinars.
  • Follow up with leads and applicants throughout the admissions process

Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with:
  • School counselors
  • Education agents and consultants
  • Alumni and current students
  • Local influencers (e.g., community leaders)
  • Establish partnerships with feeder schools, colleges, and corporate organizations

Market Development & Strategy:

  • Analyze regional market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities.
  • Provide feedback on program demand, pricing, and promotional activities.
  • Recommend changes to marketing or admissions strategies based on regional insights

Communication & Follow-Up:

  • Provide counseling to students and parents on academic programs, application process, scholarships, and career outcomes.
  • Respond to inquiries through phone, email, messaging apps, or in-person meetings.
  • Maintain CRM systems with updated student interaction records.

Reporting & Administration:

  • Prepare periodic reports on performance, market feedback, and competitor activity.
  • Manage budgets for regional activities, travel, and events.
  • Coordinate with internal departments (admissions, marketing, academics, etc.).

Qualifications:Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Education, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in sales, business development, or admissions (preferably in education).

Preferred:

  • Master’s degree or MBA.
  • Experience in higher education or international student recruitment.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools and digital marketing platforms.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Target-driven with a proven sales track record.
  • Ability to work independently and manage remote operations.
  • Cultural sensitivity and knowledge of regional education trends.
  • Willingness to travel extensively.

Work Schedule:

  • Full-time, with flexibility for evening/weekend events.
  • Frequent travel within the assigned territory .
