Role & responsibilities

Job Title: Area Sales Manager (Channel Sales)

Job Location: Bangalore / Coimbatore

Job Mode: Permanent / Full Time

Interview: Virtual

Department: Channel Sales

Reports To: Regional Head

Qualification: Diploma/B Tech / Graduate with MBA

Minimum work experience: 2-3 years in channel sales

Area of Expertise:

Candidates should have experience in UPS, Inverter, Battery or Solar Industry.

Functions/ Tasks:

Develop sales strategies, build customer relationships, and analyze market trends to drive sales growth and profitability.

Primary:

1) Identify, recruit, and onboard new channel partners (distributors, dealers, retailers) to expand market reach.

2) Build and maintain strong relationships with existing channel partners, ensuring their satisfaction and loyalty.

3) Conduct regular performance reviews of channel partners and implement strategies for improvement.

4) Negotiate and finalize agreements with channel partners, ensuring alignment with company policies and objectives.

5) Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve and exceed sales targets within the assigned territory.

6) Monitor sales performance and provide regular reports to the Regional/National Sales Manager.

7) Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and challenges.

8) Implement effective sales promotion and incentive programs to drive sales through channel partners.

9) Identify and explore new market opportunities to expand the company's presence.

10) Conduct market research to understand customer needs and preferences.

11) Train channel partners on product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer service.

12) Coordinate with channel partners to ensure adequate inventory levels and timely product availability.

13) Monitor inventory turnover and implement strategies to minimize stockouts and overstocking.

Secondary:

1) Assist in the development and implementation of sales budgets and forecasts.

2) Participate in sales meetings, conferences, and trade shows.

3) Prepare and submit regular sales reports and market analysis.

4) Maintain accurate records of channel partner activities and sales data.

5) Travel within the assigned territory as required.
