Area Sales Manager

Company: boCHE Tea Industry: FMCG – Tea Experience Required: Minimum 10 years in FMCG Sales (Tea industry experience highly preferred) Job Summary: boCHE Tea is seeking experienced and driven Area Sales Managers to oversee its operations in both North Kerala and South Kerala Markets . The ideal candidate will have a strong background in FMCG sales , preferably in the tea industry , with a deep understanding of distribution networks and regional market dynamics . Proficiency in Malayalam and a willingness to travel extensively across Kerala are essential. Key Responsibilities: Drive sales performance and achieve regional revenue targets for boCHE Tea across assigned territories. Recruit, appoint, and manage distributors while ensuring profitable and efficient operations. Build and lead a high-performing sales team; provide training, guidance, and performance evaluations. Develop strategic sales plans based on market insights and competitive analysis. Execute and monitor trade promotions, marketing activities, and market development initiatives. Conduct regular market visits to maintain strong retailer relationships and monitor product visibility. Collect and analyze sales data to inform decision-making and optimize distribution efficiency. Maintain control over distributor claims, credit cycles, and inventory levels. Ensure brand presence and availability across urban, semi-urban, and rural markets. Coordinate closely with internal departments (marketing, logistics, accounts) for seamless operations. Candidate Requirements: Minimum 10 years of experience in FMCG sales ; tea industry experience is highly preferred . Proven success in managing distributors , achieving sales targets, and expanding market share. Strong market knowledge of Kerala , including both North and South regions respectively. Well-established distributor and retail network within the state. Fluency in Malayalam is mandatory; proficiency in English is a plus. Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills. Ability and willingness to travel extensively within the assigned regions. Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
