We are now expanding into the Medical Representative vertical, working directly with healthcare professionals to build adoption and trust for this revolutionary product.
Role Overview
The Area Sales Manager (ASM) will lead the medical representative team for a defined territory. The role requires a seasoned sales professional with strong doctor connect, proven experience in product launches, and the ability to drive prescription growth and territory expansion.
Key Responsibilities
Team & Territory Management
Recruit, train, and mentor a team of Medical Representatives (MRs).
Allocate territories, set targets, and review daily reporting.
Conduct joint field visits to coach and improve MR productivity.
Sales & Business Development
Build and strengthen long-term relationships with doctors, clinics, and healthcare professionals.
Leverage existing doctor connections in the city to accelerate product adoption.
Drive product launch initiatives and ensure effective rollout in assigned territories.
Achieve sales, prescription, and territory expansion targets.
Marketing & Engagement
Organize CMEs (Continuing Medical Education), doctor meetings, and product demo sessions.
Execute marketing and engagement programs as planned by HQ.
Provide insights on competitor activities and market developments.
Reporting & Compliance
Ensure timely submission of performance reports and market feedback.
Maintain accurate documentation of field visits and doctor engagement.
Ensure all activities comply with medical industry ethics and company policies.
Qualifications & Skills
Graduate/Postgraduate in Pharma, Life Sciences, or Marketing (MBA preferred).
4–6 years of pharma/healthcare sales experience with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
Proven relationships with doctors in the city/region.
Experience in leading product launches and driving adoption in new markets.
Strong knowledge of pharma sales processes, prescription generation, and territory management.
Excellent communication in English, Hindi, and Marathi.
Leadership, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Willingness to travel extensively.

Achievement of monthly/quarterly sales and prescription targets.
Successful product launch execution and adoption.
Growth in active doctor base and prescriptions generated.

Market insights and competitor feedback quality.
