Area Sales Manager – Backup Battery Solutions

About Us

Opus Battery is a fast-growing brand delivering high-quality lithium backup batteries for UPS systems, solar power, and agricultural sprayer pumps. With our advanced technology and reliable performance, we are building strong distribution networks to power India’s energy needs.

We are looking for a dynamic Area Sales Manager (ASM) who can drive sales, lead a team, and appoint distributors, dealers, and retailers to expand our market presence.

Key Responsibilities

1. Sales Growth & Leadership

  • Drive sales of Opus backup batteries in your assigned region.
  • Lead, train, and motivate your sales team to achieve targets.
  • Monitor performance and ensure strong on-ground execution.

2. Channel Development

  • Appoint and onboard new distributors, dealers, and retailers.
  • Build long-term relationships with channel partners to ensure steady growth.
  • Support partners with product training, sales tools, and marketing activities.

3. Market Expansion

  • Identify new business opportunities and untapped markets.
  • Keep track of competitor activities and market trends.
  • Execute regional sales plans to increase penetration in UPS, solar, and agri sectors.

4. Operations & Reporting

  • Manage sales budgets and ensure profitability.
  • Provide regular reports, forecasts, and insights to senior management.
  • Collaborate with marketing for product promotions and brand building.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience: 3–5 years in sales of batteries, UPS, solar, or electrical products.
  • Channel Management: Strong track record in appointing and managing distributors/dealers/retailers.
  • Leadership Skills: Ability to build and lead a high-performing sales team.
  • Market Knowledge: Understanding of battery technology and regional sales dynamics.
  • Communication: Excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to travel extensively in the assigned territory.
