Architect/Interior Designer

Urgently Hiring Job Title: Architect / Interior Designer Experience Required: 0-5 Years Location: Chennai, Tamil Nadu Company: MTA designs (25 Years of Excellence in Construction & Interiors) MTA designs is a reputed construction and contracting firm with over 25 years of experience in delivering civil, interior, and MEP projects across residential, commercial, and industrial segments. We are looking for creative, detail-oriented Architects and Interior Designers who can lead design development, coordinate with project teams, and ensure seamless translation of concepts into high-quality built spaces. Key Responsibilities 1. Design Development Prepare architectural and interior design concepts, layouts, and working drawings. Develop detailed plans, elevations, sections, and BOQ in line with project requirements. Create 2D drawings and 3D visualizations to communicate design intent. Ensure designs comply with building codes, standards, and client specifications. 2. Client Interaction & Requirements Gathering Conduct site visits and client meetings to understand functional needs and design expectations. Present design proposals, mood boards, and material palettes for client approvals. Incorporate client feedback into revised designs while maintaining design quality. 3. Coordination & Project Support Coordinate with structural, MEP, and site execution teams to ensure design feasibility. Provide design clarifications, details, and technical guidance during execution. Attend coordination meetings with consultants, vendors, and contractors. Work closely with the site team to resolve design-related issues in real time. 4. Material Selection & Specification Identify suitable materials, finishes, and furnishings based on design aesthetics and project budget. Prepare material specifications, samples, and approval documents. Liaise with vendors for product sourcing, pricing, and technical details. 5. Documentation & Quality Assurance Maintain accurate and up-to-date drawing sets, revision logs, and documentation. Prepare GFC (Good for Construction) drawings and detailed drawing packages. Conduct site inspections to ensure design compliance and quality standards. Support preparation of as-built drawings and final handover documentation. Qualifications & Skills B.Arch / M.Arch / Diploma in Architecture OR B.Des / Diploma in Interior Design. 2–4 years of professional experience in architectural design, interior design, or fit-out projects. Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit (optional), Photoshop, MS Office. Solid understanding of construction detailing, materials, and on-site coordination. Ability to multitask, work with cross-functional teams, and meet deadlines. Excellent communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Quality and creativity of design output. Accuracy and completeness of drawings and documentation. Timely delivery of design packages as per project schedule. Effective coordination with site teams and vendors. Positive client feedback and minimal design changes during execution. Compensation Competitive and based on experience and industry standards.
