The Safety Head will be responsible for preparing and enforcing all EHS documentation, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, conducting safety training, performing audits, and ensuring safe site operations. This role is critical to maintaining zero-incident culture and ensuring all projects follow industry best safety practices. 🔵 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 1️⃣ EHS Documentation & Planning Prepare, review, and maintain all mandatory safety documents: HIRA – Hazard Identification & Risk Assessment JSA – Job Safety Analysis EHS Management Plan SOPs – Standard Operating Procedures MOPs – Method of Procedure (especially for datacentres & live environments) Work Method Statements (WMS) Logistics & Traffic Management Plan Emergency Response Plan (ERP) Incident/Accident Investigation Report Toolbox Talk reports & safety meeting minutes Ensure all EHS documents are approved and updated at every project stage. 2️⃣ Site Safety Supervision Conduct daily and weekly site inspections to identify unsafe acts/conditions. Implement appropriate corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). Ensure workers follow PPE norms, barricading, work-permit systems, and safe work practices. Establish safety controls for working at height, electrical safety, confined space, lifting operations, and hot works. 3️⃣ Training & Awareness Conduct safety induction for all new workers and subcontractors. Organize regular Toolbox Talks, Safety Drills, Mock Drills, and awareness programs. Train project teams on SOPs, MOPs, LOTO procedures, emergency response, and hazard control. 4️⃣ Compliance & Audits Ensure compliance with: OSHA standards IS codes BOCW (Building & Other Construction Workers Act) Environmental compliance Fire & life safety norms (NFPA, NBC 2016) Conduct internal EHS audits and prepare audit reports. Close NCRs and track EHS KPIs for each project. 5️⃣ Coordination & Leadership Work closely with Project Managers, Engineers, QC, MEP, Subcontractors, and client EHS teams. Conduct risk assessment for electrical shut-downs, UPS rooms, server racks, HVAC areas. The ideal candidate must be capable of maintaining all QC documentation, ensuring site quality standards, reviewing method statements, validating material Technical Data Sheets (TDS), and coordinating with site engineers, vendors and the project manager to achieve quality compliance on all projects. 🔹 Key Responsibilities 1. Documentation & Reporting Maintain daily, weekly and monthly QC reports for all ongoing sites. Prepare and update QA/QC checklists, pour cards, inspection sheets, snag reports, and quality logs. Ensure all site quality documents are properly filed, controlled, and accessible. 2. Method Statements & Work Procedures Review and validate Method Statements (WMS) for civil, interior, finishing, MEP and architectural works. Ensure the team follows approved methodology to avoid rework and deviations. Provide clarification to site engineers on sequence of works, quality standards, and approved procedures. 3. Material Quality Verification Review and verify Technical Data Sheets (TDS), product certifications, sample approvals, and manufacturer guidelines. Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure materials received match approved TDS / submittals. Conduct quality checks for cement, sand, aggregates, blocks, tiles, marble, wood, paint, steel, waterproofing chemical, MEP materials, etc. 4. Site Inspections & Quality Assurance Carry out regular site inspections and ensure all works meet design, drawing and quality requirements. Highlight deviations immediately and ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented. Check workmanship for shuttering, reinforcement, concrete, plastering, tile-laying, carpentry, joinery, painting, electrical & plumbing works. 5. Coordination & Communication Work closely with Project Manager, Site Engineers, MEP Engineers, Safety Officer, and subcontractors. Report quality issues promptly and monitor closure of NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports). Attend site meetings and provide technical inputs when required. 6. Testing & Monitoring Coordinate material testing with third-party labs where required. Monitor concrete tests, cube reports, soil testing, waterproofing test, and finishing quality.
