Position: Senior Architect – Space Planning and Facade Design (Shopping Malls)

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Architect specializing in Space Planning and Facade Design

Key Responsibilities

Design & Technical Expertise

• Develop design concepts and layouts specific to large retail and mall projects.
• Prepare working drawings and detailed design documents.
• Ensure compliance with local/state building codes, NBC, fire safety, and seismic standards.
• Integrate Architectural design with MEP, and interior layouts.
• Design and Detailing of Facade. Co-ordinate with Site Team and Contractors for realization of Designed Façade at Site.

Project Management & Coordination

• Coordinate with consultants, contractors and vendors for design alignment.
• Review drawings, GFCs, and shop drawings for accuracy and feasibility.
• Conduct value engineering and optimize solutions for cost efficiency.
• Assist project management team in scheduling, budgeting, and quality monitoring.

Site & Execution Support

• Conduct periodic site inspections to ensure execution as per approved drawings.
• Resolve site-level issues in consultation with consultants and in-house team.
• Provide technical guidance to contractors/subcontractors on details and execution.

Client & Stakeholder Interaction

• Present design proposals and clarifications to clients and management.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (Architectural, MEP, Façade, Interiors, Landscape).

Requirements

• Education

  : Bachelor’s/Master’s in Architecture.

• Experience

  : 8–12 years with proven experience in

  shopping mall / large retail projects

  .
• Hands-on experience with

  AutoCAD, Sketch-up, Photoshop etc

  .
• Knowledge of

  NBC and other relevant norms

  .
• Strong problem-solving, analytical and coordination skills.
• hospitality industry is a plus
