Job Description

Key ResponsibilitiesDesign & Planning: Create architectural concepts, drawings, models, and specifications. Client Consultation: Understand client needs, budgets, and project goals. Project Management: Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and consultants throughout design and construction phases. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure designs meet building codes, zoning laws, and safety standards. Sustainability: Incorporate green building practices, energy efficiency, and sustainable materials. Construction Oversight: Visit sites to monitor progress, resolve design issues, and ensure quality control. Documentation: Prepare blueprints, technical documents, and contracts. Skills & CompetenciesStrong design and visualization skills (2D & 3D). Proficiency in CAD, BIM software (AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Rhino, etc.). Project management and teamwork abilities. Knowledge of building materials, construction techniques, and structural systems. Problem-solving and critical thinking. Strong communication and presentation skills. Awareness of sustainable architecture and green certifications (LEED, BREEAM). Qualifications & RequirementsEducation: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture. Licensing: Registration with the relevant architectural body (e.g., RIBA in UK, NCARB in US, COA in India). Experience: Internship or training under a licensed architect (usually 1–3 years). Continued Professional Development (CPD) to maintain licensure.
