Application Security Engineer II - IN (Night Shift)

.We are seeking a skilled Application Security Engineer to strengthen the security posture of web and mobile applications within a dynamic, cloud-based environment. In this role, you will implement and maintain application security testing capabilities, including static and dynamic analysis, penetration testing, and vulnerability management. You will collaborate closely with development and DevOps teams to identify, report, and remediate security issues while supporting continuous integration pipelines. This role offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge tools, emerging security practices, and a variety of modern programming languages. You will also gain exposure to compliance standards and participate in proactive threat assessments to ensure applications remain secure against evolving threats. Accountabilities
- Execute application security testing using automated tools and manual techniques on web applications, APIs, and containers
- Configure, maintain, and operate SAST, DAST, and other security testing tools
- Analyze, triage, and document security findings, providing actionable remediation guidance to development teams
- Support vulnerability reporting processes, including external disclosures and bug bounty program validation
- Participate in security code reviews, threat modeling exercises, and integration of security into CI/CD pipelines
- Contribute to the development and documentation of application security processes, standards, and metrics
- Stay up to date with the latest application security trends, tools, and best practices, and respond to time-sensitive security events as needed
Requirements
- 2-4 years of experience in information security or application security roles
- Knowledge of SDLC, vulnerability assessment methodologies, and security concepts
- Hands-on experience or understanding of programming and scripting languages such as Python, Java, Node.js, Go, Ruby, PHP
- Experience with databases (SQL) and CI/CD tools (GitHub, GitLab, Jenkins, CircleCI)
- Familiarity with common vulnerabilities and remediation approaches (CVE, CWE, CVSS, OWASP Top 10)
- Understanding of compliance regulations (PCI-DSS, ISO 27001, SOC 2, HIPAA)
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related technical field
- At least one relevant security certification such as CEH, CompTIA Security+, OSCP, GWAPT, or (ISC)² certifications
