Android Developer
to join Quin’s growing team and help shape the future of smart safety technology. You’ll take a leading role in building Android applications that deliver seamless user experiences and connect with cutting-edge devices in our product ecosystem. This role is central to bringing intelligence, usability, and performance together to create technology that has a direct human impact.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality Android applications using Kotlin and Java.
- Build scalable, reusable, and maintainable code aligned with modern Android development practices.
- Create polished and intuitive UI experiences, including custom components and smooth animations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, prioritize features, and deliver value on time.
- Prototype and evaluate new ideas, tools, and frameworks to drive product innovation.
- Ensure applications are optimized for performance, reliability, and responsiveness across a variety of environments.
- Integrate applications with external systems, devices, and services where required.
- Conduct code reviews, champion best practices, and contribute to continuous improvement across the team.
- Stay current with emerging Android technologies (e.g., Jetpack Compose, new APIs) and share insights with the team.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of professional Android development experience with a proven track record of shipping apps.
- Strong expertise in Kotlin (primary) and Java.
- Deep knowledge of the Android SDK, Jetpack libraries, and modern architectural patterns (e.g., MVVM, Clean Architecture).
- Experience building applications that integrate with connected devices or external hardware.
- Familiarity with Bluetooth/BLE, location services, and third-party API integrations.
- Proficiency with RESTful API integration and local data storage solutions.
- Hands-on experience with dependency injection, testing frameworks, and CI/CD practices.
- Strong debugging and performance optimization skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with advanced UI frameworks (e.g., Jetpack Compose).
- Knowledge of performance monitoring tools and mobile analytics.
- Exposure to connected products, wearables, or IoT environments.
