WebMethods Administrator - IT
located in ChennaiReporting to the Manager, and the role involves:
What a typical day looks like:
- Ability to manage incidents to completion and appropriately document the incident for future reference and closure of the feedback loop to the consumer.
- Experience of problem analysis and resolution.
- High Availability Setup and Administration.
- System/Platform Administration.
- Application upgrade/Migration.
- System optimization and capacity planning.
- Maintenance/Outage activities.
- Backup & Recovery Activities.
- Building and automating system health checks and housekeeping tasks.
- Troubleshooting system bottlenecks and performance tuning.
- Handling thread dumps, log analysis.
The experience we’re looking to add to our team:
- 4-7 years of experience as a Application system administrator role.
- Must have webMethods application knowledge (Integration server,My webMethods Server,Universal Messaging,Terracotta,Command Central)
- Must have excellent analytical skills and experience working with business applications in an environment that includes Enterprise/ERP applications, MySQL Database and Linux platform, Docker.
- Knowledge of wM Upgrade and Migration/High Availability Setup and Administration.
- Knowledge of Unix shell scripting and LDAP/Using various Communication Protocols (HTTP/S, FTP etc.,)/Configuring Clusters, JMS, JDBC, and auto-deployment/Using Web Security, PKI, SSL Certificates.
- Knowledge of RosettaNet, EDIFACT, X12 ANCII, EDI,Windows, Office, FTP / SFTP, SOAPUI, Wireshark, Putty, webMethods or similar middleware.
- Knowledge of Mulesoft Docker RabbitMQ DevOPS.
- Basics of Programming, scripting. Any development contribution to Open source organizations will be good to have.
- Open to learning new skills. Additional certifications or MOOCs completions outside of college curriculum will be good to have.
- Desirable experience with monitoring/observability solutions, preferably Elasticsearch, as well as with incident response solutions, like Service Now.
- Experience automating infrastructure and configuration using available tools
- Experience with AWS, GCP, Azure or another provider.
- Experience working with highly available, distributed systems and services in a hybrid cloud environment
