External Interactions: Company Clients, Corporate or Industry Officials, SMEs, Consultants, or Government officials

Work Type & Schedule: Full time; Permanent role; Monday-Friday

Work Location: Okhla, New Delhi

cKinetics is looking for an energetic Analyst who is passionate about Sustainability and looking to be a part of team that does meaningful cutting-edge work.

The candidate would be part of the carbon markets practice of cKinetics, with special focus on areas related to Market Intelligence & Data Insights.

Purpose of the position

An analyst’s position is the perfect platform for a fresh Masters seeking to develop a career in the carbon market space. It will provide the exposure of working and developing an understanding of the various hot topics of global carbon market.

An Analyst’s effort is to work on project and research delivery. The candidate will be required to (I) develop an understanding of the carbon market (II) develop clean and usable datasets and reports through primary and secondary research in the aligned structures and formats (III) work diligently and maintain internal delivery timelines (iv) work cohesively and contribute positively in a team environment (v) learn and hone skillsets that are essential to delivering tasks with the requisite quality. The analyst’s tasks are a crucial connect for developing interconnected databases, data analysis, and synthesis of various solution scenarios for the client’s problem statement.

Key responsibilities

1. Data Research - Primary & Secondary

• Conduct research and deep dives, using various research methodology

• Develop clean and usable datasets of appropriate quality and detailing through data mining from various credible sources

2. Project operations delivery support

• Provide operational support by timely completion of allocated tasks that align with the internal delivery quality standards

• Responsible for developing and maintaining detailed datasets/ documentation/ communication/ dashboards and records aligned with the internal quality requirements

• Work cohesively with the team on various tasks allocated towards project/ research delivery

3. Time Management

• Strict adherence to the given task completion timelines with requisite quality, delivering using internal project and time management tools

Candidate Requirements

The candidates would be part of the Carbon Markets practice, with a special focus on areas related to Market Intelligence & Data Insights and must have the following mindset and skills sets:

o Data collection and analysis - Database development, assessment, and analysis

o Excellent written and spoken communication skills incl. the ability to articulate analytical thought in an easily comprehensible manner

o Must have the experience of primary research

o Demonstrated knowledge and use of standard tools such as MS Office suite

o Data visualization skills & dashboarding

o Problem solving mindset

o Presentation skills

o Creative orientation

o Good time management skills

Academic qualifications & Experience

• Masters in disciplines such as Energy or Environmental Management, Economics, Engineering, or a related domain

• 1-2 years of experience in consulting or market research Industry with relevant experience of working on database and reports.
